Handle Bros supplies products from different manufacturers and brands. Warranty periods and warranty terms therefore vary by product.

Manufacturer Warranty

Where a product carries a manufacturer warranty, the applicable period and conditions will be stated on the product page, product packaging, warranty documentation or manufacturer information where available.

A manufacturer warranty may cover manufacturing defects and product failures occurring during normal and intended use. It may exclude damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, abuse, accidental damage, unauthorised modification, improper maintenance, exposure to unsuitable conditions, normal wear and tear, corrosion outside the product's rated environment, or use contrary to the manufacturer's instructions.

Your Statutory Rights

Manufacturer warranties do not replace or reduce any rights that a consumer may have under applicable South African consumer protection law. Where goods are defective, unsafe, of inferior quality or otherwise fail to meet applicable statutory standards, the customer's statutory remedies remain available.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

  • Your order number or proof of purchase;
  • The product name or SKU, where available;
  • A description of the problem;
  • Clear photographs or video showing the issue, where appropriate; and
  • Any additional information reasonably required to assess the claim.

We may need to inspect the product or obtain information from the manufacturer before a warranty claim can be finalised.

Installation

Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are suitable for the intended application and are installed correctly. Where specialist installation is required, we recommend using a suitably qualified installer. Incorrect installation may affect a manufacturer's warranty, but does not remove statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
